The written test for the post of Public Prosecutor in CBI 2012 was conducted on 24 June 2012 for the fifty posts. The interviews of the candidates successful in written test were conducted from 3 September 2012 to 6 September 2012.


The selected candidates for the post of Public Prosecutor in CBI 2012 will be responsible for conducting the prosecution of cases in the courts. They will have to attend the matters arising of or pertaining to court cases/references and will give legal advice in respect of cases investigated by the Branch.  ......

nion Public Service Commission declared the results for the post of Assistant Programmer in Central Bureau of Investigation. The written test for UPSC Assistant Programmer in CBI 2012 was held on 4 March 2012. The successful candidates in written examination were gone through interview round held from 3 September 2012 to 5 September 2012.

The Central Bureau of Investigation was originated towards the Special Police Establishment (SPE) which was set up in 1941 by the Government of India. Over the years, Central Bureau of Investigation established a reputation for impartiality and competence. The demands were made to take up investigation of more cases of conventional crime such as murder, kidnapping, terrorist crime, etc.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2012 from 5 October 2012 to 26 October 2012. The candidates qualified in Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination 2012 conducted on 20 May 2012 are eligible to appear for Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2012.


Here are the set of instructions that needs to be kept in mind before appearing for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2012.


•    The candidates are required to enter the Examination Hall 20 minutes before the commencement of the Examination to avoid last minute panic.  
•    Candidates will only be provided with Logarithmic Table for reference purposes.
•    Candidates are required to notify the total number of answer books used by him/her in the front page of the first answer book (Main Answer Book).
•    The admission of the candidate to the examination is strictly provisional.

This is the most common query I receive in the comments and in the email from IAS aspirants; How do I start preparing for the IAS exam? To prepare for IAS 2013 exam you will require three things: a proper plan or approach, the right study materials, and commitment.

Planning is imperative when you decide to appear for the Prelims. Deciding to take the exam 4 or 5 months before the Prelims is not a very smart strategy as you have to cover a wide syllabus and go through numerous books and magazines, even though it is possible to prepare for Prelims in 4 months. But I always advise you should start preparing at least 10 months prior to the next year's Prelims and 12 months ideally, if possible. So if you are targeting IAS 2013 to be held in May 2013 then ideally start preparing from June 2012 itself.

The first step is to know the paper 1 and paper 2 syllabus in detail. Many IAS aspirants get confused about Prelims preparation and subject selection for Mains at this stage ......

The scheme of Civil Services Preliminary Examination has been changed from 2011 as per the recommendations of the Alagh Committee, the Second Administrative Reforms Commission and an Expert Committee constituted by UPSC under the chairmanship of Prof. S.K.
